NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Tennessee Titans defensive end Jurrell Casey is spreading holiday cheer.
He and his wife spent time handing out Thanksgiving meals to families in Donelson on Tuesday.
Over 200 meals were given at the Food Lion as he helped shoppers load up their cars alongside teammate Jason McCourty.
Casey teamed up with the grocery store and The Branch of Nashville food bank to make it happen.
“When you get to come out and see the smiles on these people’s faces, we know how tough it is in today’s society and how hard it is for people to just get by day-to-day, to be able to touch someone’s heart, just puts that much more joy in my heart,” he told News 2.
The families were pre-selected because they were at risk of going hungry during the holidays.
