1 killed in wrong-way crash on I-65 North in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 North Tuesday night in Williamson County.

It happened just after 6 p.m. near the State Route 840 exit, closing all northbound lanes to drivers.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported 42-year-old Stephanie Coleman, of Murfreesboro, was driving south in the northbound lanes when she struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee head-on.

A 13-year-old girl who was in Coleman’s Pontiac G6 sedan was injured, but her condition was not immediately known.

The driver of the Jeep was identified as a 22-year-old man. He was transported to an area hospital where his condition is unknown.

The road was closed until just before midnight.
