Car goes airborne before catching on fire in Wilson County

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fiery crash in Wilson County.

It happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday on Alvin Sperry Road.

According to a trooper on scene, a driver ran off the road, and her Mitsubishi Eclipse went airborne before it crashed and caught fire.

She ran to a nearby home for help.

Troopers told News 2 the woman was taken to TriStar Summit Medical Center for a head injury, but will be ok.
