NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Tennessee Titans player is in trouble for something that happened during Sunday’s game.

Less than five minutes into the game, left tackle Taylor Lewan was ejected.

Lewan came to the defense of quarterback Marcus Mariota after a blatant cheap shot that landed the Packers a 15-yard penalty.

Amid a heated spat, the tackle pushed a referee, which is against NFL rules.

Head coach Mike Mularkey said Lewan graded out with one great play—and one mental error.

“There’s a point that you can protect your quarterback, and I do like that cause I can tell you there has been a time here where I’ve seen Marcus get hit and nobody go over and help them up. Now I see multiple players coming over to defend him, Rishard Matthews getting in there, but there’s a limit of where you draw the line that gets to get out of there, get out of the picture, especially with Taylor,” he said.

Lewan will find out later this week if he will be fined by the NFL.
