Murfreesboro woman reports man forced his way into home, raped her

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Murfreesboro woman reported a man forced his way into her apartment and raped her Friday morning.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of East Main Street.

The 43-year-old woman said someone knocked on her front door around 10:40 a.m., but she couldn’t see anyone when she looked through the peephole.

That’s when a man dressed in black with a ski mask and gloves forced his way inside the apartment, the victim told police.

The report states the man then held a gun to her head, forced her into the bedroom, and raped her before leaving.

Police say the victim was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital where a rape kit was performed.
