NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are working to identify a homicide victim who was found dead at a West Nashville trucking company early Monday morning.
Initially police were called to the Western Express on Centennial Place, not too far from the John C. Tune Airport, around 6:25 a.m. in response to reports of a person with a gunshot wound.
Upon their arrival, Metro police discovered the victim, who they say is a black man dressed in women’s clothing.
Authorities said the victim has a tattoo on their inner left forearm that says “Dreaming” and a chest tattoo with the name “Joyce.”
Police said early Monday afternoon the trauma to the victim’s body does not appear to be gunshot related and an autopsy is pending.
The victim was not carrying any identification, police said, and could be around 30 years old.
The investigation is ongoing and managers at the trucking location said they had no comment at this time.
Anyone with information is urged to call police at 615-862-7385.
