Investigators call vacant house fire Murfreesboro suspicious

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Officials with the Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department are calling fire over the weekend at a vacant home suspicious.

The fire happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North Church Street.

According to Assistant Fire Marshal Clay Malone, the fire started in the upstairs portion of the house and it is believed to be a set fire.

“The house has been vacant for quite some time, but we hope someone saw something that will lead us in the right direction,” Malone said.
