Fire damages vacant Murfreesboro home

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A vacant home in Murfreesboro was damaged fire on Sunday.

The blaze started just before Midnight at a home in the 800 block of North Church Street.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found flames shooting through the roof.

“The fire was contained to the upstairs, which is where we believe the fire started,” said Acting Shift Commander Mark McCluskey. “The downstairs did not receive fire damage, but received smoke, heat, and water damage.”

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
