9-year-old injured after crashing car

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 9-year-old boy in Clarksville was injured after he crashed a car.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, the crash occurred on Eva Drive just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The child reportedly took a car belonging to his mother’s friend and then got into a wreck. The boy, who has autism, was ejected from the car.

He was taken to a Nashville hospital by LifeFlight with with lacerations, broken bones, and other injuries. He is now in stable condition and expected to recover.

Authorities said the boy has ran off before, but never to this extent.

No other details about the situation have been released.
