NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A former district fire chief spent 53 years with the Nashville Fire Department and now he’s sharing his story in a new book written by Erin Cunningham.
On Saturday, the fire station on Second Avenue South held a pre-release party for Bobby Connelly’s book “Refined by Fire.”
In it, he talks about the job and fellow firefighters he was so dedicated to.
“And even when they don’t do it well, they’re giving it 100 percent. You know, if we’re not successful on a rescue or a fire or whatever, you’ll find every person there giving it 100 percent,” explained Connelly.
After spending five decades putting out fires, Connelly acquired a long list of stories to tell. You can learn more about them in his book, which is available on Amazon.
