Smyrna jewelry store robbed at gunpoint

SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) – Smyrna police are searching for a man who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.

It happened at the Kay’s Jewelers on Industrial Boulevard around 12:30 p.m.

Smyrna police reported the man looked at jewelry before pulling out a gun and pointing it at a clerk.

He was described as a black man, 6 feet tall with a thin build and gold teeth. He was wearing glasses, a baseball cap with lettering on it, white Nike Jordans and a white sweat shirt with the words “LIFTED” on it.

The suspect was armed with a black revolver and Smyrna police reported he should be considered dangerous.

No additional information was immediately released.
