Police searching for man accused of robbing bank on 21st Avenue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are searching for a man accused of robbing a bank on 21st Avenue South Friday afternoon.

The suspect reportedly robbed the Cornerstone Financial Credit Union, located at 1701 21st Avenue South, around 3:45 p.m.

Metro police reported the suspect passed the teller a demand note and fled the bank on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was reportedly seen.

He was described as an Asian man, 5 feet 3 inches tall with pimples, acne scars and rotting teeth. He was wearing a tan jacket and hat with multi-colored cartoon characters on it at the time of the robbery.

The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is assisting Metro police with the investigation.
