Teen taken to Vanderbilt by LifeFlight after Columbia shooting

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a teen injured Friday afternoon.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Bullock Street in Columbia. Witnesses say the teen was standing outside a home when a car carrying several people pulled up.

He got into an argument and then shots were fired from the car and at the car, according to witnesses. A bullet also hit a nearby house, but no one was injured.

The car then sped away and the teen was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by LifeFlight.

No details were immediately released about the condition of the teen or the search for the suspects.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
