Austin Peay student reports she was sexually assaulted; Campus police investigate

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Campus police are investigating after an Austin Peay State University student reported she was sexually assaulted Thursday afternoon.

The victim told police the incident occurred between the first floor entrance of the Morgan University Center and the Ellington Building between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

A description of the alleged suspect has not been released.

Anyone with information is urged to call APSU police at 931-221-7786.

Campus police are reminding students to immediately report any suspicious persons loitering around the university.

Students who do not wish to walk alone on campus can request a police escort.
