Police identify woman whose body was found in east Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities have identified the woman whose body was found in an east Nashville neighborhood over the weekend.

According to Metro police, the woman is 46-year-old Teresa Carlson. Her last known address was in Franklin, but her family, who lives out of state, said she may have been staying with friends or acquaintances at different locations.

A homeowner found Carlson’s body in a dry creek bed in the 1300 block of Sunnymeade Drive on Saturday afternoon.

Officials are investigating to find out if Carlson died in a different location and was then brought to the creek bed.

An autopsy did not reveal a cause of death.
