HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person was injured in a shooting in Hermitage Wednesday night.
It happened in the 1700 block of Margaret Robertson Drive around 8:40 p.m.
Metro police told News 2 the victim arrived at TriStar Summit Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The victim was struck in the shoulder and is expected to survive.
He reportedly told police he was at his mom’s apartment when a blue Lexus pulled up nearby. He said two men got out of the vehicle and started shooting at him.
“We were in the house eating dinner and then all of a sudden we heard about 10 gunshots right outside the door,” said Angela McCormick who lives nearby. “It got to the point where we were even scared in our own home.”
No suspect description or additional information was immediately released.
