NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Head football coach Greg Wyant resigned after seven seasons at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro Wednesday.

After a strong first four seasons with Brent Stockstill at quarterback, the Stars have slumped to win only three games each of the last three seasons.

Wyant said the school needed a change, telling News 2, “We need some new blood and energy. Got a great school, kids and administration.”

Wyant is also the Athletic Director at Siegel and has no plans to immediately step down, but he does say he would like to have the opportunity to coach again.
