NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Springfield, Hendersonville, and Lebanon all have something in common—a new mayor in the coming months.

On Wednesday, News 2 called each of the mayors-elect and asked what their top priorities will be in office.

Anne Schneider will be sworn in as Springfield’s mayor on Dec. 1. She plans to focus on growing small business, recruiting more retail to the area, and creating a capital growth plan.

Bernie Ash has been elected mayor of Lebanon. He says his top three priorities are to review all committees, commissions and boards. He also wants to work on having better communication with the city council, and he plans to review employee and retiree insurance policies.

Jamie Clary, mayor-elect of Hendersonville, will focus on infrastructure, specifically traffic. He also wants to put resources into the overall image of the city and bring more jobs to those who live there so they don’t have to drive out of the county.
