Judge will decide if Sheriff Robert Arnold should lose salary while jailed

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A judge is expected to decide in the next few days if Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold should lose his salary while he is jailed.

A hearing was held on Tuesday to discuss the issue and if Arnold should be removed from his job.

While a decision wasn’t made immediately, a judge will make a decision in upcoming days.

Arnold is currently jailed where he is expected to remain until his trial in February.

The sheriff was indicted on several charges, including fraud and bribery for his family’s jail cigs business.
