NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 24-year-old man from Madison was shot and killed Monday evening in South Nashville.
Police said they responded to an alley between Green and Fain Streets around 5:20 p.m. and found Denzel Tyler dead in the front seat of his car.
Two guns were reportedly found at the scene—one on the ground near Tyler and the other inside the console of his car.
Metro police say it does not appear that Tyler, who had a valid handgun carry permit, exchanged gunfire with the suspect(s).
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
