Nashville Rescue Mission needs 1,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Nashville Rescue Mission is in need of 1,000 turkeys by Thanksgiving so it can feed 6,000 meals to the homeless in the community.

Turkey donations can be dropped off at the mission’s donation center located at 616 Seventh Avenue South. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Monetary donations can also be made online at NashvilleRescueMission.org.

In addition to turkeys, the Mission also needs 10-pound canned vegetables. All donations need to be dropped off by November 22.

The annual Thanksgiving banquet for the homeless men, women and children in the Nashville community will be held on November 23 and 24.
