Mom accused of bringing children with her to steal car

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A mother is accused of aggravated robbery and child endangerment after allegedly bringing her two small children with her to steal a car.

According to a Metro police affidavit, 20-year-old Samantha Hardy and her two young children met up with an unsuspecting male victim on Stainback Avenue in east Nashville.

It was unclear why Hardy and the man were meeting each other.

According to the affidavit, two male suspects, who were allegedly working with Hardy, appeared and began striking the male victim with a metal rod.

They then took the victim’s keys, cell phone and wallet and drove away in his car.

The victim reportedly suffered a black eye and lacerations to his legs and back.

Hardy was charged with aggravated robbery and child endangerment.

Her bond was set at $90,000, and she is due in court on Wednesday.

It was not immediately known if the other two suspects were arrested.
