MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Middle Tennessee State University quarterback Brent Stockstill is out with a broken collarbone for the remainder of the regular season.

The left-handed QB was injured on Saturday against Texas-San Antonio in the first half of the game.

The sophomore was one of the best quarterbacks in the nation with 2,801 yards passing and 27 touchdowns in just nine games this season.

In the Blue Raiders first home game against Alabama A&M, Stockstill started a perfect 22-of-22 crushing former quarterback Logan Kilgores passing record.

Stockstill’s freshman numbers earned him C-USA Freshman Of The Year with 30 touchdowns and 4,005 yards passing.

Coaching staff said late Monday morning they hope to have Stockstill back by bowl time.
