Autopsy doesn’t indicate cause of death for body found in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police say an initial autopsy conducted on the woman found dead in East Nashville Saturday did not indicate a cause of death.

The autopsy also did not show obvious signs of trauma.

Detectives are investigating whether the woman may have died somewhere else and then her body was brought to the creek bed.

She was found by a homeowner in the area off Sunnymeade Drive around 2 p.m. Saturday.

No identification was found and efforts to identify her through fingerprints were unsuccessful.

Her race and ethnicity are unknown, and police say she was small of stature.
