Man accused of assaulting girlfriend, her mother

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Franklin man is jailed after police say he assaulted his girlfriend and her mother.

According to a release from Franklin police, officers were called to a home in the Fieldstone Farms Subdivision around 4:30 a.m. after an alleged incident involving John Walker.

Walker is accused of assaulting his 21-year-old girlfriend and choking her 53-year-old mother who came to her aid.

Police said Walker, 20, fled the scene before officers arrived to the home.

He was located a short time later and police determined he was impaired.

Walker is charged with domestic assault, aggravated assault, vandalism and DUI. He is being held on a $28,000 bond and is due in court on Nov. 17.
