SESAC celebrates songwriters, publishers during 2016 Nashville Music Awards

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – SESAC kicked off CMA Week in Nashville by honoring and celebrating the songwriters and music publisher’s behind this year’s most-performed Country and Americana songs.

The ceremony was held on Sunday night at the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville.

Josh Hoge, who topped the charts with his hits “I’m Comin’ Over,” performed by Chris Young and “Think of You,” also by Young and Cassadee Pope, was named SESAC’s “Songwriter of the Year.”

Jaron Boyer and Michael Tyler, also received the award for “Song of the Year” for “Somewhere on a Beach,” which was performed by country crooner Dierks Bentley.
