Police: Man clocked going 94 mph before crash

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police say a man remains jailed after he was allegedly clocked going 94 mph in downtown Franklin before crashing into a fence over the weekend.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. Saturday at Murfreesboro Road and Blue Grass Drive, not too far from Pinkerton Park.

Shortly after being clocked going more than 90 mph in a 30 mph zone, police said Jessie Haddox drove onto a sidewalk, over a crosswalk signal and crashed through a fence at Third Avenue and South Margin Street.

Police said Haddox, 27, refused to stop and he was ultimately taken into police custody at his home on Hardison Drive.

He is charged with speeding, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident, among other charges.

Haddox remains jailed on a $4,500 bond and is due in court next Thursday.
