SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The man accused of shooting his 11-year-old daughter when she returned home from her first day of school will not have his bond reduced.
The judge decided to uphold Timothy Batts’ bond revocation late Monday afternoon and said the father was in illegal possession of a weapon when his daughter Timea was shot in August.
The 29-year-old is charged with reckless homicide and a felon in possession of a firearm, among other charges.
Batts was released on a $500,000 shortly after his daughter was killed. While he was out on bond he tested positive for cocaine.
He was handcuffed and taken back into custody immediately after the hearing.
