NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – CMA Awards week is finally here, and it kicked off with a huge star-studded party at Tootsies Sunday.

Some of country music’s biggest names were there including Dierks Bentley, who performed.

Another well-known face was also in attendance. “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts came to town to tape a special called “All Access Nashville: Celebrating the CMA Awards with Robin Roberts.”

The anchor spoke with News 2 exclusively about Wednesday’s big award show.

“I like that it’s a little different this year. There’s something about a 50th anniversary. I think people are going to dress up a little bit more, and that it’s a great way to honor these past 50 years.”

You can watch Roberts’ special Monday night at 9 p.m. after “Dancing with the Stars” on News 2.

The 50th CMA Awards will also air on News 2 Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m.
