It happened around 5:38 p.m. Sunday after the race outside of Turn 2 of the speedway.

Police say a 2005 Chevrolet SSR convertible tried to pass a Jeep Patriot. The Chevrolet hit the jeep and then hit several nearby pedestrians.

Thirteen people were treated on scene for minor injuries, with another nine others transported to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Those injured range in age from 13 to 65.
