Metro police continue search for McGavock Pike hit and run suspect

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are seeking help from the public in locating a hit and run suspect.

The crash occurred on Oct. 17 at 6:45 p.m. on McGavock Pike.

The driver hit and seriously injured 55-year-old David Loyd while the legally blind man attempted to cross the road from west to east outside of a crosswalk.

Metro police said the vehicle involved in the hit and run is likely a 2000-2004 Honda Passport or Isuzu Rodeo of unknown color.

There may be damage to the SUV’s front bumper or hood area and possibly undercarriage, according to police.

The damage may or may not be extensive and the SUV may still be missing the driver’s side mirror.

Lloyd remains at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he continues to receive treatment for a serious head injury.
