NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Governor Bill Haslam said Thursday he has already cast his vote in this year’s presidential election.
He told News 2 he voted in Knoxville this morning.
“I’ve said before I have some real concerns about the long-term future of the Republican Party when we’re losing the way we are with women and minorities and millennials – that’s a concern to me,” he said. “Long-term, I have all the faith in the world that our party will continue to represent the things that it’s represented.”
He added that he did not vote for Hillary Clinton, but did not say if he voted for Donald Trump or wrote in a name.
A few weeks back, Haslam recommended that Trump step aside and let his vice president pick Mike Pence take the nomination.
