Fire damages vacant south Nashville home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A vacant home was damaged in a fire in south Nashville early Wednesday morning.

The fire began at a home in the 300 block of Louise Street around 3:30 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting through the roof of the home.

Neighbors told News 2 the home had been empty for around a month and renovations were being made to the residence.

Heat from the fire damaged an adjacent home and a neighbor attempted to keep the flames away with a garden hose.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
