Driver slams into disabled car on interstate, flees scene on foot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A driver plowed into a parked car on Interstate 40 near downtown Nashville Tuesday morning and left the scene of the crash.

It happened near the Interstate 40 and Interstate 24 split on the south loop.

Metro police said a car was parked on the side of the interstate and was waiting to be towed.

The car crashed into it at around 2:30 a.m. The driver left their wrecked car at the scene, but was not present when police arrived.

No other information was available.
