Woman wanted in Brentwood murder arrested in South Carolina

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman wanted by Brentwood police in connection to the death of her boyfriend at a hotel has been taken into custody in South Carolina.

The crime occurred Friday at the Extended Stay Hotel at 9025 Church Street East.

Shannon Richardson, of Nashville, is charged with criminal homicide in the death of her boyfriend, Reuben Dunigan.

Brentwood police arrived at the scene on Saturday when they learned that hotel staff found a male guest, later identified as Dunigan, unresponsive in a second floor room.

According to an affidavit filed by Brentwood police, Richardson’s father called police to inform them that his daughter had called him to state that she had stabbed Dunigan to death.
