FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Three Franklin car burglary suspects were taken into custody Monday.

A resident of Southwinds Apartments contacted Franklin police to report the men who were reportedly checking car door handles in the parking lot of the complex.

The three suspects fled responding officers at 6:45 a.m., according to the report.

The identities of the three men have not been released at this time.

Officers located several vehicles that the men are suspected of burglarizing but authorities believe there could be more.

The suspects appear to have targeted only unlocked vehicles, as officers did not find any signs of forced entry or broken windows.

Police are asking anyone who finds that their vehicle was burglarized during the overnight hours to report it by calling (615) 794-2513.
