NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Five players were called up from the Predators AHL affiliate after several players on the main roster came down with food poisoning Friday night.

Kevin Fiala and Viktor Arvidsson scored two goals each to lead the Predators to a 5-1 victory over the defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins in Nashville Saturday night.

Calle Jarnkrok also scored and P.K. Subban and Filip Forsberg each added two assists for Nashville. Juuse Saros had 34 shots for his first NHL victory as the Predators snapped a three-game losing streak.

“Some guys, like I said, they didn’t get a chance to eat much, couldn’t keep anything down and they played a real good game for us tonight,” said head coach Peter Laviolette.

“We could of went out and there and hoped our way through the game or you know waited for lucky bounces or whatever but every guy in this room, we went out there and we attacked the game and we went at full force. Juuse was phenonmenal and our back bone back there tonight,” said forward Ryan Johansen.

The Preds are in action again Wednesday night in Anaheim to face the Ducks.
