Man shot near downtown Nashville; Victim uncooperative

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police have launched an investigation after a man was shot near downtown Nashville.

Authorities received a shooting call around 5 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Fain Street, which is just off Hermitage Avenue.

Police on the scene told News 2 the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with two gunshot wounds.

First repsonders say someone called 911 from Fain Street, but it was not clear if that is where the shooting actually took place.

The victim is also not cooperating with police.

No other details were immediately available.
