NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Chicken noodle soup is usually eaten by sick people to get better, but it ended up making the Predators sick on their trip to Detroit.

Several players were affected in the Preds 5-3 loss last night to Detroit and because some guys are so sick, they’ve had to call up several players from Milwaukee for Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

“I can’t be too specific. Obviously, we have a game tonight and we’re doing some roster management right now. [We’ll] have some more clarity obviously when we get closer to the game and at warm up, but we’ve got a lot of guys that are sick right now,” explained David Poile, the team’s general manager.

“First, it was just one guy and we’re like, ‘Oh, one guy’s just sick,’ and then there was more and more so obviously a different tough situation,” said defenseman Roman Josi.

It’s a tough situation for the Predators who have had a slow start to the season at 1-3.
