CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WKRN) – One of the 10 most wanted fugitives in Tennessee has been arrested.
Christopher Padgett, who fled when he cut his GPS monitoring device to avoid trial in Hamilton County, was captured Friday morning in Chattanooga.
Even though he was not present for the hearing, a jury still convicted him of first degree murder and especially aggravated robbery.
He now faces a mandatory life sentence.
Padgett has been transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
