Metro police investigating after man shot in leg

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are investigating after a man was shot once in the leg Friday.

The incident occurred at around 2:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of 14th Avenue North.

Metro police told News 2 the victim was walking in an alley when he was shot once in the leg.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said the suspect may have fled in a silver four-door Hyundai or on foot.

The suspect was wearing a gray, green and navy colored jacket.
