HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The man charged with fatally shooting his 11-year-old daughter as she got home from her first day at school this year appeared in court Friday.

During the appearance the judge gave attorneys instructions for Timothy Batts future bond hearing.

Attorney’s will now gather witnesses for the hearing, which set for October 31.

Batts is charged with shooting his daughter Timea on August 8.

He bonded out of jail in August and just days later failed a drug test. His bond was then revoked by a judge.

His case will eventually be heard by a grand jury.
