NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Special programs at the Green Hills YMCA were spotlighted Wednesday morning during an annual breakfast fundraiser.
News 2’s Sam Fisher emceed the Breakfast of Champions where members talked about how the YMCA has not only improved their physical health but their emotional and spiritual health as well.
U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper spoke and praised the Green Hills YMCA as one of the best.
“One of the largest and strongest in the whole United States, so we should be proud of that and use it even more than we are using it today because it keep you healthy. Proud of all of our health care industry they do a great job but what’s more important is your own behavior we all want to live longer and healthier,” he said.
Money raised during the breakfast raised funds for programs which are free for the community.
