Kentucky man charged with swallowing drugs while riding scooter

ELKTON, Ky. (WKRN) – A man was arrested for drug possession in Kentucky after he was stopped for driving a scooter without a headlight Tuesday.

Kentucky State Police reported Ricco Osborne, 25, of Elkton, was seen driving the scooter without a headlight by a trooper when he allegedly put something into his mouth.

The trooper reportedly saw Osborne try to swallow the object and was able to prevent him.

Eventually, Osborne spit out a bag of marijuana.

Osborne was booked into the Todd County jail and was charged with insufficient head lamps, driving without the proper license, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and tampering with evidence.

No additional information was immediately released.
