Williamson County School Board votes to raise bus driver pay

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Williamson County plans to pay its bus drivers more money as part of a plan to recruit more drivers.

The school board voted last night to raise starting pay to $17.25 an hour.

PREVIOUS: Shortage could lead to pay raise for Williamson County bus drivers

Experienced drivers will make even more than that, up to $24 an hour.

The school district is currently hiring bus drivers which is the reason behind the pay increase.
