NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nearly six dozen employers participated in the “Paychecks for Patriots” hiring event at the Bridgestone Arena Tuesday.
The event focused on hiring veterans.
“Get some awareness that we’ve got some sharp men and women that have served our country, and that want to be a part of an organization that values leadership, respect and hard work,” said Zach Skipper, who is retired from the Navy.
Paychecks for Patriots began in 2012.
The program has helped hundreds of American soldiers find employment.
Nashville Mayor Megan Barry spoke briefly at the event.
