Man serving life sentence goes to trial next year for woman’s 2007 murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man already serving a life sentence will go to trial next year for the death of a woman who was found in a trash can at a Lebanon truck stop in 2007.

Bruce Mendenhall will be tried for the death of Symantha Winters in Wilson County. He’s charged with first degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

Mendenhall is serving a life sentence at Riverbend for the murder of a Nashville woman, SaraH Hulbert.

He’s also charged with the murders of three other women at truck stops in Alabama and Indiana.
