TROUSDALE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The head football coach of Trousdale County High School was dismissed Friday over alleged unauthorized use of fuel.

David Barker was reportedly let go from both his position as coach and teacher.

Director of Schools Dr. Clint Satterfield told News 2 Barker had fraudulently purchased the fuel over many months and the district has turned the evidence over to law enforcement.

“Assistant Principal Ben Johnson, a former football coach who voluntarily coaches with the team, has been appointed as interim Head Coach for the remainder of the season,” said Satterfield.

Barker was hired by the school in May 2015.
