Gunshot victim arrives at Vanderbilt; Investigation underway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are investigating after a man showed up at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a gunshot wound early Sunday morning.

The victim arrived at the hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his back around 3:30 a.m.

Metro police told News 2 the victim said he was shot in a parking garage on Church Street but his friends told investigators he was shot at a club on Woodland Street.

Police reported the man’s injuries are non-life threatening.

No crime scene has been located and no additional information was immediately released.
