Fire pit suspected as cause of Williamson County house fire

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Williamson County home was destroyed by a fire that may have been caused by a fire pit on a wooden deck Saturday morning.

The Williamson County Fire and Rescue reported the fire began at the home near Brentwood around 5:15 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to the scene and found heavy flames coming from the rear of the home.

Multiple crews responded to the blaze, including the Nashville Fire Rehab Unit, Williamson County EMA and Williamson Medical medics.

No injuries were reported.

The homeowner told investigators he thought his back deck caught fire from a fire pit on his wooden deck.

No additional information was immediately released and the fire is under investigation.
